About the role:

• Design and implement ZK‑based protocols using modern proof systems such as SNARKs and STARKs.

• Build and optimise high‑performance circuits using Rust and ZK‑specific languages like Circom, Halo2, or Cairo.

• Bridge research to production – turn cutting‑edge cryptographic ideas into working systems.

• Ensure security and soundness through testing, fuzzing, and external audits.

• Shape the technical roadmap alongside Foundation leadership for 2026 and beyond.

• Stay at the forefront of ZK research, evaluating new approaches in recursion and proof efficiency.

Who are we looking for?

• Proven experience building and shipping ZK systems in a professional setting.

• Strong Rust or C++ skills with a focus on performance and memory safety.

• Solid applied cryptography knowledge, including ECC and proof pipelines.

• Comfortable in remote‑first, decentralised teams with high autonomy.

• Curious and research‑minded – always exploring what’s next in ZK.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience as a founding engineer on an early‑stage Web3 protocol.

• Knowledge of privacy‑enhancing technologies such as MPC or FHE.

• Previous work within a Foundation or DAO environment.
