HR / People Ops Associate (Part-Time)

We’re recruiting on behalf of a high-growth, early-stage technology business that’s looking for a hands-on HR / People Ops Associate to join their remote team. This is your chance to take ownership of the kind of HR structure that younger companies often overlook, and to put the right frameworks in place from day one.

More about the role

This is a standalone role where you’ll work closely with the leadership team to lead on all things people. From policy writing to platform audits, you’ll bring clarity, compliance, and calm to the company’s HR foundations.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Developing and documenting clear remote working policies

• Improving processes for vacation and leave reporting

• Auditing and optimising the company’s existing HR platform (onboarding, offboarding, records)

• Ensuring compliance with UK and EU employment law

• Drafting and maintaining core policies and handbooks

Who we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in HR / People Ops, ideally in a startup or fast-paced tech environment

• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law (bonus if you know your way around EU regs too)

• Confident drafting policies and guiding them through implementation

• Comfortable with HR systems and tools

• Proactive, independent, and confident working remotely
