About the role:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our clients’ gas-to-power Bitcoin mining site. This includes ensuring uninterrupted gas and power supply, coordinating with suppliers and vendors, overseeing on-site technical performance, and supporting the remote monitoring team in troubleshooting and issue resolution. The role requires a strong understanding of the Bitcoin mining industry, working knowledge of electrical systems, and familiarity with ASIC miners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Operations & Management
- Oversee daily operations of the gas-powered BTC mining facility.
- Ensure optimal performance and uptime of mining containers, generators, and supporting infrastructure.
- Maintain site security, safety, and compliance with local regulations.
2. Energy & Fuel Management
- Coordinate with gas suppliers to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted gas supply.
- Work with generator vendors to maintain reliable power generation and address any outages or performance issues.
3. Equipment & Technical Oversight
- Manage and coordinate ASIC miner maintenance, repairs, and firmware updates.
- Support the monitoring team in diagnosing and resolving hardware, network, and power-related issues in real-time.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems, cooling systems, and generators.
4. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and gas suppliers, generator providers, and other service partners.
- Negotiate service terms, maintenance schedules, and emergency support with vendors.
5. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Prepare weekly operational performance reports, including uptime metrics, fuel usage, and hash rate output.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Bitcoin mining operations (site management preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles and power systems.
- Hands-on experience with ASIC miners.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in remote and industrial environments.
Preferred:
- Experience with gas-to-power generation or oil & gas industry operations.
- Previous management or supervisory experience in a technical field.
