Job Description

Job Title: Head of Sales

Location: Remote (Europe) 

Compensation: £80,000–£100,000 base + performance-based commission (linked to overall bookings targets) + override on team commissions

 

About the Role:

Our client, a fast-growing player in the on-chain asset management space, is seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead and scale their revenue operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of a team of three sales representatives (with scope to expand), drive performance discipline, and ensure marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) are successfully converted into sales-qualified leads (SQLs) and ultimately closed deals.

 

You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing to refine the go-to-market motion, while being accountable for instilling a sales-first culture and holding the team to high performance standards. The ideal candidate will be commercially sharp, process-driven, and confident in making tough decisions—including restructuring the team if necessary—to deliver consistent results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a team of three sales representatives, with responsibility for expanding the team as needed.

Performance Management: Instil a culture of accountability, implementing sales discipline, tracking KPIs, and taking decisive action when individuals are not meeting targets.

Sales Process Ownership: Build and enforce structured processes to improve conversion rates across the funnel, ensuring a smooth handoff from marketing to sales.

Collaboration with Marketing: Partner with the Head of Marketing to optimise lead quality and quantity, ensuring alignment on MQL to SQL processes.

Pipeline Growth: Oversee sales operations, ensuring consistent pipeline generation, accurate forecasting, and timely reporting to leadership.

Revenue Delivery: Drive the team to hit and exceed bookings targets, balancing both individual and team performance incentives.

Strategic Input: Provide market feedback and insights to leadership to refine positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy.

 

Candidate Profile:

•Proven experience leading sales teams, ideally within fintech, SaaS, blockchain, or high-growth tech sectors.

•Demonstrated ability to instil process, enforce accountability, and deliver results under pressure.

•Strong track record of managing sales teams of 3–5 reps, scaling headcount, and hitting team revenue targets.

•Commercially sharp, with excellent forecasting, pipeline management, and negotiation skills.

•Confident decision-maker who can balance coaching with performance management, including exiting underperformers.

•Strong communicator and collaborator, able to work cross-functionally with marketing and operations.
