Job Description

Field Installation Operator / General Operator

Location:(St Helens HQ) with regional travel
Salary: £25,500 – £30,000 + overtime + benefits

If you like being hands-on, solving problems, and seeing the results of your work every day, this is a great opportunity. You’ll be out on the road installing, maintaining and supporting smart vending and digital display units across the North West and beyond, helping to keep one of the region’s fastest-growing tech-led businesses running smoothly.

We’re looking for someone practical, reliable and ready to join a company that’s really going places.

What’s in it for you?

• Competitive salary between £25,500 and £30,000
• Plenty of overtime available, with time off in lieu where needed
• 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Pension scheme and Employee Assistance Programme
• Bright Exchange employee benefits platform
• Genuine progression opportunities as the company scales nationally
• Full training on all company equipment
• Great team culture built on trust, flexibility and growth

More about the role

You’ll be part of a small, growing team responsible for the installation, upkeep and presentation of smart vending and digital units. That means:

• Installing and securely mounting equipment across various venues
• Conducting routine maintenance, safety checks, and adjustments
• Using hand tools, power tools, and appropriate fixings for safe, high-quality installs
• Refilling and restocking units where required
• Troubleshooting and resolving minor technical issues on-site
• Logging all work through mobile reporting tools and liaising with the operations team
• Travelling to sites around the UK, occasionally staying overnight when needed

You’ll start and finish most days at the Rainford (St Helens) depot, so your own transport is essential due to the rural location. (As the office isn’t accessible by public transport, you’ll need your own vehicle to commute to and from work.)

Who are we looking for?

• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Experience in maintenance, installation, or facilities roles
• Confident with hand tools, power tools, and wall fixings
• Understanding of safe manual handling and installation techniques
• Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
• Friendly, professional, and able to represent the company well
• Open to travel and occasional overnight stays
