We’re supporting a confidential global B2B content marketplace as they build out a new AI content licensing division. They’re looking for a commercially sharp, well-connected Data Sales Manager who can open doors, build a pipeline from scratch and close high-value enterprise licensing deals.

What’s in it for you?

Competitive salary, around $150,000 base
Uncapped commission
Performance bonuses
Remote working
Flexible working conditions
International conference travel
Opportunity to build your own team as the division scales
Direct exposure to founders and senior leadership
A rare opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, data, content rights and regulation

More about the client and the role

Our client is a global B2B content marketplace operating across film, television, entertainment and international media rights.

Their new AI content licensing division helps AI companies, model developers and research labs access premium, rights-cleared content for model training, fine-tuning and evaluation.

As Data Sales Manager, you’ll own the full commercial cycle, from identifying prospects through to structuring bespoke licensing agreements and closing recurring revenue accounts.

You’ll be responsible for:

Building and managing a pipeline of AI companies, model developers and research institutions
Targeting hyperscaler AI labs, frontier model startups, enterprise AI divisions, robotics companies and boutique AI labs
Leading end-to-end sales cycles, including discovery, proposal, commercial structuring, negotiation and close
Selling AI training data licensing agreements, including bulk, subscription and category-specific formats
Working closely with legal and content teams to ensure agreements are clear on usage rights, provenance and IP
Representing the business at leading AI conferences across the USA, Europe and APAC
Developing outbound sequences, account mapping and prospecting frameworks from scratch
Tracking market activity across AI data, training datasets, compliance and licensing
Reporting pipeline health, revenue forecasts and deal progress to senior leadership

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is already operating in or close to the AI data ecosystem.

You’ll ideally have:

5+ years’ experience in B2B sales, ideally across AI data, data licensing, content licensing or enterprise SaaS
A proven track record closing mid-to-large enterprise deals, ideally $1m+
Experience selling into AI labs, foundation model companies, research teams or technical buyers
Strong understanding of training data, AI datasets, licensing or data acquisition
Experience with usage-based, data-volume or bespoke enterprise pricing models
Confidence selling to technical stakeholders, including ML engineers, research leads and data teams
A strong hunter mentality, with the ability to build pipeline from scratch
Experience generating opportunities through conferences, partnerships and direct outreach
An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work across multiple time zones

Experience with, or selling into, companies such as Protege, Veritone, Appen, Scale AI, Labelbox, Defined.ai, Sama, Surge AI, Toloka or similar would be highly relevant.

Why this role?

AI companies are under growing pressure to prove where their training data comes from and whether it is properly licensed.

This role puts you right at the centre of that shift.

You’ll help build a new commercial function in a fast-moving market, backed by an established global content business with existing rights infrastructure and international reach.

If you know how to open doors in AI, build trust quickly and close complex enterprise deals, this could be a genuinely career-defining move.
