As they prepare for rapid scaling, they are seeking an experienced Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimise their blockchain nodes, ensuring high availability, performance, and security in a production environment.

Info on the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Blockchain Infrastructure Management:

• Manage and maintain blockchain nodes (Ethereum or others) in a production environment, ensuring high availability and security.
• Handle network forks (hard and soft), ensuring smooth upgrades with risk mitigation strategies.
• Deploy and manage network upgrades, protocol changes, and release processes with minimal downtime.

Performance Optimisation & Scalability:

• Monitor and optimise blockchain node performance to ensure stability and efficiency.
• Utilize Kubernetes to orchestrate and manage containerised blockchain nodes and related services.
• Implement high-availability architectures and DevOps best practices for seamless operations.

Integration & Troubleshooting:

• Collaborate with developers to integrate blockchain infrastructure with existing tools and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve network latency, synchronization, and other blockchain infrastructure challenges.
• Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure processes, configurations, and incident management.

Continuous Improvement & Support:

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in blockchain technologies and protocols.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure components.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience managing and maintaining blockchain infrastructure (Ethereum or similar).
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes for containerised application management.
• Proficient understanding of blockchain network upgrades, protocol changes, and node performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, network security, and high-availability architectures.
• Experience using monitoring and logging tools to track performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure challenges.
• Excellent documentation skills for infrastructure processes and incident management.
