Job Description

Senior Protocol Engineer
Fully Remote
Salary - $120-$200k

This is a seriously exciting role for a seasoned protocol engineer who wants to work at the forefront of Ethereum infrastructure.
You’ll be joining a small but mighty team building – a next-gen protocol tackling reorg risk, MEV centralisation, and finality delays on Ethereum.
If you’re into cryptographic guarantees, preconfirmations, or building fast blockchains… keep reading.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Protocol Engineer to join a close-knit, highly skilled team working fully remotely. This one’s ideal for someone who’s already deep in protocol development and fancies making a real impact on Ethereum’s coordination layer.

What’s in it for you?

• Work on a protocol used by block builders, searchers, proposers and bridge operators across Ethereum.

• Fully remote – work from wherever you’re most productive.

• Competitive base salary with generous token/equity options.

• Collaborate directly with researchers and contributors shaping the Ethereum roadmap.

• Full autonomy, low bureaucracy, and a real say in protocol design decisions.

• Flexible hours – results matter more than clock-watching.

• Chance to build something that actually fixes broken parts of the blockchain stack.

More about the client and the role

• The team building a private, cryptoeconomically-secure protocol to improve block inclusion guarantees on Ethereum.

• The protocol combines its own fast blockchain  with new cryptographic primitives (ARUBE and DPCOM).

• Your day-to-day will involve designing and implementing protocol logic for insured commitments, writing chain-level code, and collaborating on validator and builder incentives.

• You’ll work across everything from peer-to-peer networking to smart contract infrastructure and bridging mechanics.

• It’s a research-heavy environment – but everything you build ships and runs in production.

Who are we looking for?

• 5+ years experience in protocol engineering, blockchain infra, or applied cryptography.

• Solid knowledge of Ethereum internals – from PBS and MEV to validator roles and settlement.

• Strong programming skills in Rust (preferred) or Go.

• Experience working on consensus, networking, and cryptographic systems.

• Familiarity with tools like mev-boost, geth, beacon clients, and relays.

• You enjoy working with cutting-edge ideas, but know how to make them practical.
