Job Description

Our client is a leading Eth Interoperability Protocol, backed by some of the top VC's in the space.

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding our ecosystem through community engagement and strategic partnerships. This position will involve building collaborations that extend our cross-chain communication capabilities to prominent blockchain projects, including non-IBC-native chains and decentralized applications. Your deep knowledge of the Web3 industry and commitment to fostering an interconnected blockchain ecosystem will be essential.

Experience in Web3 is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with the leadership team to set clear objectives for the business development function.
  • Develop and execute a business strategy to attract new industry-leading partners.
  • Research opportunities to build a robust business development pipeline.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to ideate, develop, and execute partnership campaigns.
  • Actively reach out, establish, and nurture partnerships with key industry players and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with technical teams to communicate the technical aspects of our solutions to potential partners and clients effectively.
  • Tailor approaches for non-IBC-enabled chains, demonstrating how our solutions enhance blockchain interoperability and communication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners, providing support, understanding their needs, and exploring service expansion opportunities.
  • Lead contract negotiations, working with executives to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetups to build brand awareness and explore business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Over 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the blockchain, crypto, or fintech industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of blockchain technology, Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC), or related concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.
  • Proven success in developing strategic partnerships, driving growth, and meeting business goals.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about blockchain technology and its transformative potential.
  • Existing network and contacts within the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry are a plus.
