Our client is a leading Eth Interoperability Protocol, backed by significant funding from some of the top VC's in the space.

We are looking for a Director of Finance to oversee all aspects of financial operations, planning, and compliance for our organization. This role includes preparing financial statements, setting forecasts and budgets, managing tax planning and reporting, and analyzing the financial impact of special projects.

Experience in Web3 is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Financial Operations

• Oversee financial operations and treasury management, including cash and digital assets.
• Manage bank and custody accounts, ensuring proper maintenance and signatory authority.
• Calculate and forecast burn rate, revenue, other income, and runway, presenting real-time cash and crypto positions accurately.
• Collaborate with Legal and leadership on transfer pricing and inter-company arrangements.
• Monitor the performance of outsourced finance services and ensure quality standards.

Reporting and Compliance

• Streamline operations to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance in partnership with Legal.
• Provide regular reports on cash position, liquidity forecasts, and counterparty risks to leadership.
• Track and report core metrics critical to the financial health of the company.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Design and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures for financial reporting.
• Serve as a primary contact for financial and accounting inquiries within the company.

Strategic Planning and Forecasting

• Lead liquidity and financial planning, focusing on cash and digital asset projections to support growth.
• Develop forecasting models to predict liquidity needs and plan for asset value fluctuations based on market trends.
• Provide in-depth analysis to inform strategic business decisions, working closely with the leadership team.
• Offer insightful financial advice to guide business decisions effectively.

Cash and Liquidity Management

• Align cash flow optimization and liquidity forecasting with investment and financing strategies.
• Develop liquidity strategies to address the unique challenges of cryptocurrency and DeFi, focusing on digital asset dynamics.
• Implement proactive monitoring and forecasting to navigate crypto market volatility.

Risk Management

• Continuously refine risk management strategies to adapt to the evolving digital asset markets.
• Assess counterparty risks related to financial partners and service providers.
• Conduct regular reviews of counterparty exposure and adjust risk management strategies as needed.
